The turnover of the  Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs)  in Haryana has increased to Rs.57628 crore in the year 2016-17  as compared to Rs.49478 crore in 2014-15 .

  • Chandigarh, August 16 :  The turnover of the  Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs)  in Haryana has increased to Rs.57628 crore in the year 2016-17  as compared to Rs.49478 crore in 2014-15 . 
  •           This was informed during a review meeting  of PSEs held under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today.  The Finance Minister, Capt Abhimanyu was also present in the meeting. The turnover of  PSEs  have made promising  improvement in the past  over a period of four years.
  • It was informed during this meeting   that since the turnover has gone up considerably  over this period,  therefore there is considerable increase in the economic activities by the PSEs which is considered to be a favorable parameter to the economic growth. 
  • It was informed that the number of PSEs under profit have  increased from 20 in 2014 to 26 on  March 31, 2017. Whereas the number of  loss making Public Sector Enterprises have  gone down from 24 to 20 over a similar period. Also, the loss in quantitative term has reduced from Rs.4247 crore to Rs.1148 crore during this period.
