Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal here today approved the proposal regarding implementation of Delhi-Gurugram-SNB Corridor of Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).

  • Chandigarh February 13: Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal here today approved the proposal regarding implementation of Delhi-Gurugram-SNB Corridor of Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). 
  • Besides approving the implementation of Sarai-Kale-Khan Gurugram-SNB Corridor of RRTS, the Cabinet also approved allowing additional purchasable FAR of upto 1.25 within the project influence zone of 1.5 km radius around the RRTS stations and gross contribution of Rs 6436 crore as state government’s share towards the project cost. The Cabinet also decided to nominate Administrative Secretary, Town and Country Planning Department as nodal officer for signing of agreements and other related documents with National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) for the implementation of the project. It also authorised the Chief Minister to approve any changes or modifications, if arises during consultation with NCRTC/Government of India or for removing difficulties or bottlenecks in implementation of RRTS project.
  • The RRTS projects are being implemented by the NCRTC, a joint venture of Government of India and participating state governments of Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Accordingly, contribution of concerned participating state governments has been determined. The contribution of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Haryana government and Government of Rajasthan has been done based on the quantum of investment in the respective states.
  • Seed capital of Rs 500 crores from state exchequer has been approved in financial year 2019-20. For the balance Rs. 5,936 crores, as per current estimates, the state government will give state guarantee, as a backstop, for Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC) to raise loans.
